With the integrated VGA webcam, users can even view video, still-image capture, web conferencing or video-enhanced instant messaging with ease, eliminating the use an additional hardware. The optional Absolute Software’s Computrace can track and help recover stolen and missing computers, with the help of the IT professionals who work with local law enforcement. It also comes with an inventory computers district wide and detects changes in hardware and software.
HP’s latest laptop runs on either three-cell for lightest-weight configurations or optional six-cell that delivers longer battery life. It has HP DuraKeys, featuring a clear coating applied over the notebook keyboard that protects the finish and printed letters and characters and an HP 3D DriveGuard, which sends a signal to shut down the hard drive upon sudden movement or shock by using a three-axis digital accelerometer chip.
Scheduled to roll out in the American market by the end of this month, the HP 2133 Mini-Note PC carries a price tag of $499 (approx. Rs. 19,960).

Dell Inspiron Mini 9 Intel Atom 1.6GHz UMPC Notebook

The Dell Inspiron Mini 9 is presently the most compatible with Leopard out of all the netbooks. The difference between Dell Inspiron mini 9 and the other laptops from it’s kind is: more configurable than other Netbooks, good battery life, XP and Linux OS options.
Now the bad part about this netbook: some awkward keyboard compromises like the typing keys are bigger and because of that the tab key and caps lock are smaller, there are no functional keys and no SSD options larger than 16GB.

Anyway, for a 9″ screened computer which weighs in at around 2.5 pounds, this thing is pretty snappy, pretty cool, and actually usable. The keyboard, as I’m sure you can imagine, is a bit on the small side for my pudgy fingers, but it’s certainly faster/better than trying to legitimately surf on my iPhone.

So, with the plethora of netbooks out there, why did I choose the Dell Inpiration Mini 9? There were certainly larger (10″), faster notebooks out there with real 160gb hard drives, but for me, it boiled down to two things:
Price — No one seemed to be able to get near the $245 price tag, unless you counted the president’s day sale direct from Dell, but that one had Ubuntu on it which — in this case — doesn’t really matter when my hopes are finalized (more on that shortly).
Expandability — Unlike the more popular Acer, EeePC or other netbooks (that I could find), the Dell actually encourages expansion by putting a big door on the bottom of the machine which allows easy access to add more memory, bigger SSD storage, bluetooth card, and even a WWAN (3G) card if you’d like. I already ordered a 2gb RAM stick and 32gb SSD from crucial.com and will probably order 2 more in order to be able to easily jump between operating systems such as Ubuntu, XP, and even maybe, just maybe MacOS X if I get REALLY curious.

This SONY PCGA-BP2E Battery gives me 3 hours of power which my other one only gave me 2. But It's too expensive. Allows me an additional 2.5 hours of use. Must be swapped with computer turned off . Cost a lot of $$$$$$$. I was told original battery would last 6 hours and it only lasts 2.5 hours as does this one. Should be able to have 2 batteries connected at same time or a battery to computer power cable so that I don't have to turn off the computer when using second battery. Would be nice to piggy back them so you did not have to turn off computer to change, also a charging station for the spare would be handy.
